Crime + Punishment Documentary Screening Feat. Michael K. Williams

Join us for an intimate discussion to examine the United States' most powerful police department's harmful policing practices through the lived experience of twelve courageous black and Latino cops, who risked it all to expose injustice.

Crime + Punishment exposes racism, corruption, and intimidation within the New York Police Department. An institution that has historically oppressed poor communities of color resulting in mistrust of law enforcement and mass incarceration.

This documentary chronicles the efforts of the NYPD 12, comprised of minority officers who heroically stood up against the continued use of illegal arrest and summons quotas - a practice that overwhelmingly targets young black and Hispanic men. Thus, putting their careers on the line.

This much anticipated event will be hosted by Micheal K. Williams.

There will be guest appearances by film subjects.
