Health Forum: The Facts about Colorectal Cancer

Join us as we learn, discuss and dissect the facts of colorectal cancer in our community. This forum will be led by Dr. Pascale M. White who is the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Pascale shares these 3 important facts with us prior to the forum:

Fact #1: In 2019, the American Cancer Society estimates that in the United States there will be 3 new cases of cancer and 1 death every minute. 

Fact #2: The lifetime risk of developing colorectal cancer is about 1 in 22 for men.

Fact #3: African Americans have the highest colorectal cancer incidence and mortality rates as well as the lowest survival of all racial groups in the United States.
