Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Gentlemen's Factory

Gentlemen's Factory founder Jeff Lindor has spent his career at the intersection of policy, government, business, community and economic opportunity. His path has included work in corporate America, healthcare, New York City government, workforce development, entrepreneurship, public policy and institution building. But the common thread throughout his career has been people.

How do people gain access to opportunity? What prevents them from moving forward? Why do some communities have institutions built around their development while others are expected to navigate complicated systems alone?

The Beginning

Born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, Jeff experienced New York through multiple realities: immigrant family, public schools, corporate America, city government, entrepreneurship, community leadership. Those experiences created an unusual vantage point — he understood institutions from the inside, and communities from lived experience. Gentlemen's Factory became a way to connect the two.

From Public Service to Institution Building

Before founding GF, Jeff worked across financial services, healthcare and New York City government, including advising senior leadership on major policy and operational initiatives. That work exposed him to the enormous power institutions have to shape people's lives. Instead of asking Black and Brown men to continuously find their way into institutions built by someone else, GF is asking: what would it look like to build an institution intentionally around their development?

Gentlemen's Factory is not disconnected from Jeff Lindor's previous work. It is the convergence of it.
